Permanent Full Time Charge - Technologist, Sonographer

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The Charge Sonographer Technologist, works as a member of the interdisciplinary team, providing professional expertise and is responsible for the efficient and effective day-to-day functions of the DI department at Haliburton Highlands Health Services (HHHS).

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Current registration in good standing with the College of Medical Radiation & Imaging Technologists of Canada (CMRITO).
• Current BCLS certification.
• Minimum five (5) years’ experience in Sonography.
• Leadership experience is an asset.
•  
• Computer experience in a windows environment.
• Demonstrates excellent problem solving, decision making and critical thinking skills.
• Demonstrated the ability to deal effectively and cooperatively with all levels of staff, patients and the public.
• Demonstrated excellent communication and time management skills.
• Demonstrated positive work record and good attendance record.
• Position involves patient transport and pushing/pulling mobile equipment.

In addition, the successful candidate must be available to work day, evening and night shifts, along with weekends and statutory holidays.  An ability to attend work on a consistent basis is also a requirement.
