POSITION DESCRIPTION:

This Temporary Full-Time Physiotherapist position will mainly support Haliburton Highlands Health Services Acute Care and Outpatient Clinic departments in addition to Long Term Care (LTC) clients. The assignment may change as required, to fulfill patient care needs.

Due to the diversity of the program, the Physiotherapist’s caseload ranges from post-surgical patients, orthopaedic and neurological injuries as well as those who have medical or long-term care requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Baccalaureate or master’s degree in physical therapy
  • Licensed and a member in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario
  • Current C.P.R. certification
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively within an interpersonal team
  • Good organizational and verbal and communication skills
  • Experience in a hospital-based physiotherapy program preferred
  • Two years of experience preferred
  • Evidence of ongoing education in geriatric, rehabilitation and orthopaedics preferred

An ability to attend work on a consistent basis is also a requirement.
