In-Patient Department

The Haliburton site of HHHS includes a 15-bed in-patient department for patients requiring admission to a hospital bed, as well as 2 beds in the Palliative Care Centre. In-patient hospital oversight and care is provided by physicians from the Haliburton Highlands Family Health Team and HHHS staff. They are supported by an interdisciplinary team of nurses, physiotherapists, laboratory technologists and medical radiation technologists.

Our In-Patient team works day and night to ensure everyone who visits the department receives the highest level of quality care possible. Our team at works closely with our Regional and Community Partners to provide care and promotion of health before, during and after hospitalization.

Discharge

Discharge from the In-Patient Department in Haliburton occurs at 10 AM.

HHHS follows the 'Home First' philosophy that promotes safe and timely care, services, and supports to meet the health care needs of patients regardless of their age, hospital location, and length of stay or condition.
