Ms. Irene Odell, Chair of the Haliburton Highlands Health Services (HHHS) Board of Directors, is pleased to announce the newly elected and appointed members to the Board of Directors – Mr. Al Aubry, Mr. John Herald, Dr. Clifford Ottaway, Rev. Dr. Connie Phillipson, Dr. Don Pierson and Mr. Michael Tambosso and appointed as County Councilor Board of Director, Warden Mayor Liz Danielsen. Ms. Odell welcomes Ms. Diana McNiven to the appointment of Vice Chair and Mr. Mark Bell to the appointment of Treasurer. Board of Director profiles are available on our website at hhhs.ca.
“Our Board members represent a wide spectrum of professional and personal skills and interests and are able to bring the communities’ perspective to the Board,” said Ms. Odell. “I look forward to working closely with Diana in her new role as Vice Chair and Mark in his new role as Treasurer. The Board expresses thanks to Mr. David O’Brien, Ms. Jane Adams and Mr. Ted Parent who joined the Board in 2018, 2018 and 2021 respectively who have now stepped down from the Board. HHHS is governed by a voluntary Board of Directors that consists of 18 elected and appointed individuals who bring diverse skills, expertise and experience to hospital governance on behalf of Haliburton County.

About the Board of Directors
HHHS is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors that consists of 18 board members. Twelve (12) members are elected from Haliburton County, and two (2) are members of County Council as nominated by Haliburton County. These 14 voting members have a wide range of skills and experience representing all four municipalities. An additional four (4) non-voting ex-officio members sit as board members by virtue of their position of office or mandated as part of legislation. Elected members are appointed for three (3) year terms and are eligible to sit on the board for a maximum of three (3) terms.
