Effective May 27th, a COVID outbreak has been declared at Hyland Crest Long Term Care Home.
Currently, eight (8) residents have a fever, sore throat or hoarse voice, lethargy, new or worsening shortness of breath and cough symptoms. All symptomatic residents have been
isolated to their rooms and placed on contact/droplet precautions.
The team at Hyland Crest is working diligently to reduce the transmission of this infection, including mandatory masking and enhanced cleaning measures. Laboratory testing has been completed and all family/POA’s affected by the outbreak have been contacted by our team.
Essential visitors are reminded to follow appropriate IPAC procedures at all times. Until further notice, general visiting and activities are paused.
Please be reminded of the importance of hand hygiene and the use of masking. Washing hands thoroughly and/or leveraging HHHS-supplied hand sanitizer helps stop the spread and keeps us all safe.
A huge thank you to the team for all of their support and due diligence during this time. Our staff is truly second to none!
Should you have any questions or concerns please reach out to Tina Amodeo Administrator (x2249), Tammy Chamney DOC (x3236) or Katelyn Amodeo-IPAC Lead (x2275).
Thanks so much,
Jennifer Burns West
Chief Nursing Executive, HHH
