Haliburton Highlands Health Services provides an integrated system of health care to the residents, cottagers and visitors of Haliburton County and surrounding areas, including Ambulatory/Emergency Care, Long-Term Care and Community Support Services.

The Haliburton site of HHHS includes 14 patient beds in their Acute Care and Emergency Departments, serving both in-patient and out-patient requirements on a 24 X 7 basis.   Radiology, Physiotherapy, and the main Administration offices are located at this site.  Highland Wood, a 30-bed LTC facility is located at the Haliburton site of HHHS, and Community Support Services is adjacent to the hospital, just across the parking lot.

HHHS Minden site is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.  The Emergency Department stabilizes trauma patients prior to dispatching to larger centres, as well as providing Ultrasound and Physiotherapy by appointment.  Program offices for HHHS  Supportive Housing and Diabetes Education are located on the second floor in the Community Health area. Hyland Crest, a 62-bed LTC facility is an integral part of the Minden facility.  The Geriatric Assessment and Intervention Network offices are adjacent to HHHS Minden at 8 Winchester Street.

The Haliburton Highlands Family Health Team (FHT) provides services to Minden residents in space previously known as the Minden Medical Clinic and is located on the second floor, above the Emergency Department at the Minden site of HHHS.  (You may enter through the Hyland Crest main administration entrance, or at the side entrance to the Community Health offices).  The Minden satellite site of the FHT is open Monday to Friday, from 9 am to 5 pm and is comprised of one full time physician, other physicians from the Haliburton Family Medical Centre who see their patients in Minden, Allied Health Professionals including Nurse Practitioner’s, Registered Nurses, Social Workers, Dietitians, Chiropodists and Specialists.  Together, they provide a full basket of primary care services to meet the needs of the entire community.  Call the Haliburton Highlands Family Health Team for more details and to book appointments:  705-457-1212.
