H Community,
The safety and well-being of our patients and healthcare professionals is our number one priority. To prevent the spread of illness, all HHHS staff, physicians, volunteers, visitors, and patients are to wear a procedure mask in specific areas of HHHS. The primary goal is preventing harm to vulnerable patients, in addition to reducing transmission within the health care facility and preserving operational capacity of the health care system. Our masking mandates have been updated to reflect the needs of our organization.
Masking in non-outbreak situations:
Mandatory universal masking has been lifted. Our homes remain “mask friendly” - meaning, that we welcome staff, visitors, and residents to continue to wear masks. Masks will be required during an outbreak situation. We ask that if you are feeling unwell, that you stay home. Hand hygiene is always a fantastic way of preventing the spread of any kind. Staff & volunteers are to use their point-of-care risk assessment before every resident interaction to determine mask use
Please note that masks and signage will be available at all main entrance points at both sites.
Should you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to our Chief Nursing Executive Jennifer Burns-West at 705-457-1392 ext. 2298
Thanks so much for your dedication to keeping our patients, clients, residents, staff, physicians and volunteers safe.
My best,
Veronica Nelson
President & CEO HHHS
