Social Recreation

Social Recreation provides clients with the opportunity to become physically and/or socially active. Currently, we are offering contract bridge, cribbage, Wii games and Yoga.    (Some fees apply.)


Social Recreation Drop In Programs

Drop in for coffee, colouring, conversation, various games and activities and health education seminars. 

This program is  currently running

2nd & 4th Thursday’s of each month – Wilberforce Legion from

10 a.m. – 2 p.m. in Highlands East

2nd & 4th Monday’s of each month – Haliburton United Church from

1 p.m. - 4 p.m.

2nd & 4th Friday of each month – Highland Hills United Church from 9 a.m. – Noon


Social Recreation Activities include:

  • Balanced Fitness - twice weekly FREE program combining gentle seated and standing strength, balance, and movement exercises
  • Falls Prevention Program - 12 Week FREE Falls Prevention Course providing education around falls and gentle strengthening and balance exercises based on your own physical abilities

We provide multiple activities for our clients, designed specifically to promote ongoing mental & physical wellness.

We proudly support Adults with disabilities (18+) and Seniors (55+).  

Our goal is to support each of our clients to maintain a healthy, active and socially connected quality of life.
